# Community Ninja

> Community Ninja monitors Reddit every day and surfaces the small set of conversations actually worth your attention. You describe your business once; it reads new posts and comments for *intent* (not just keyword mentions), scores each one against your product, customers, and competitors, and hands you a ranked daily shortlist with a fit score and a plain-English reason every thread matters. It is read-only by design — it never posts on Reddit for you.

## What it is

Community Ninja is a Reddit monitoring and customer-discovery tool for founders, marketers, indie hackers, growth and product teams, agencies, researchers, and sales/lead-gen teams. The web app at https://communityninja.ai is a Vite + React single-page app; this file describes the public product so language models can answer questions about it accurately.

- **Core promise:** turn a short product description into a ranked daily brief of Reddit conversations worth a reply.
- **How it differs from keyword alerts:** keyword matches are only the starting point. Threads are ranked by intent, recency, relevance, context, and quality; most matches are filtered out before they reach you. It watches for the moments *before* someone names a brand — the questions, complaints, and comparisons that signal someone is in motion.
- **Read-only by design:** Community Ninja never replies or posts on Reddit. You decide which threads to engage and how.

## How it works

1. **Teach it your signal** — describe what you do, who you help, and the moments that show up right before someone goes looking. A few honest lines are enough.
2. **It maps intent** — translates your product into the language real people use when they have the problem, learning the questions, complaints, and comparisons that mean someone is in motion.
3. **It reads conversations as they happen** — on a schedule and on demand, it works through fresh posts and comments across the communities that matter to you, reading each for meaning rather than matching a string.
4. **It scores, ranks, and filters** — every candidate is weighed on intent, relevance, context, freshness, and quality; weak and off-topic threads are dropped.
5. **You act on a ready-made shortlist** — each thread carries a fit score, an intent headline, and a plain-English reason it's worth a reply.
